Louise Zito has taught for several years in various places and at various grade levels. She currently teaches third grade at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She enjoys reading and writing humorous poetry and based this book on an actual incident in her third-grade class at Corpus Christi School. Through teaching, she has gained an appreciation for the imagination of children and learned a valuable lesson about how to pack a banana in a backpack.
