| COMMENTARY: Yom T'ruah occurs on the first day of the Seventhmonth on the Judaic calendar (Tishrei), in autumn. Arriving with the blast of the shophar corroborates the prophecy in Hosheia 6:3 that the Mashiakh will come in the autumn. |
Many groups call themselves Netzarim and claim to be the true followers of Ribi Yehoshua. However, only one group makes its case within the constraints of Orthodox halakha, prays only in Orthodox beit k'nesset, accepts only Orthodox conversion to Judaism, and otherwise operates completely within the legitimate Jewish community -- just as Ribi Yehoshua did 20 centuries ago.
